The MS500i is the first ever chainsaw to offer electronically controlled fuel injection to give you high performance with low displacement and achieving acceleration from 0-100 kilometres per hour chain speed in just 0.25 seconds. With sensor-controlled fuel mixing to give you optimum engine power and ensuring your chainsaw runs perfectly every time. The MS500i is low weight chainsaw, just 0.5kg more than the MS462, whilst offering an impressive 6.8hp power output giving you exceptional power to weight ratio, ideal for heavy wood harvesting. Fitted with a 25" / 63cm Rollermatic ES Light guide bar to keep the weight low and aid the balance. The optimised bumper spikes have been designed to allow the saw to bite into the wood better, ideal for felling and cutting lengths.
Designed with the new HD2 air filter which offers extraordinary filtration technology with a longer filter service life thanks to its radial seal to prevent the intake of fine dust particles. With an easy starting process, even from a cold start, the MS500i has no start position the primer is located within easy access for simple starting. The decompression valve aids towards easier starting to reduce compression pressure when starting and the chainsaw features ElastoStart to provide a smooth, even pull on the recoil. The 2-Mix two stroke engine technology reduces the emissions by up to 70% compared to standard 2 stroke engines and saves up to 20% of fuel.
Providing the user the upmost comfortable use when using in prolong periods of use, the MS500i features an effective anti-vibration system to minimise the transfer of the engine and chain vibrations to the rear and front handles. Captive nuts on the sprocket mean you will not risk losing the nuts when changing the bar or chain. The new Ematic oil pump allows a higher volume of oil to be delivered in dusty conditions or when using a longer guide bar.
