The variable speed control allows you to have full control over the cutting of hedges (3 speed + trigger) whilst the rear handle can be rotated through 5 positions to allow the user to have a more comfortable working position when cutting at awkward angles. The brushless motor offers high power with less parts for servicing. Designed with a reverse button which allows the blades to be reversed so should any debris become stuck within the blades you can reverse them to unstick. Designed with battery protection circuit to protect the battery for damaged due to over discharge, high temperature or overload current. The DUH502Z cordless hedge trimmer is powered by the LXT lithium ion Makita batteries which can be used with 100s of power tools and garden machinery items within the 18v LXT range.
