When storing your generator for long periods of time, run the engine until it cuts out from low fuel or use a little fuel additive to prevent the fuel from going off. Modern day fuel looses it’s combustible properties and can cause problems starting and can also congeal and clog the carburettor when left for long periods of time.

Powerful yet reliable petrol generator from the Hyundai range with a powerful 196cc / 6.5hp economical single cylinder Hyundai 4-stroke engine. Designed for home or site use, this Hyundai generator will withstand the most demanding of jobs with ease and also power anything from power tools, compressors, welders and other site equipment. The easy recoil start system allows this machine to be started quickly and easily ensuring you can get to work immediately. Using the latest low noise engine technology including an improved muffler design, it produces only 65 dBA @ 7m making it much more comfortable to work around.
Fitted with 2 x 230v (13amp) sockets which are end facing the control panel to help minimise damage to sockets when wheeling the generator trough narrow gaps or doorways. The Hyundai AVR alternator keeps the voltage output smooth, within +/- 3% of 230v allowing this generator to be used for noise sensitive equipment such as laptops and mobile phones.
With low service and maintenance requirements, the HY2800L-2 is incredibly user-friendly, and has full Hyundai UK parts back up with a 1 year manufacturing guarantee also. The low oil shut down feature ensures the engine is protected from accidental damage should the oil run low. Designed with a circuit breaker which cuts off the power from the generator when it is overloaded to protect equipment from damage.
