It was a pleasure and a privilege to get the chance to experience the new range of Stihl’s domestic products at The Product Roadshow at Oulton Park.

At World of Power UK, we ensure that our team tests all of the products before selling them in our Buxton or online store.  This authentic approach allows our team to really gain an understanding of the machinery and therefore its advantages and limitations before selling to customers.
Stihl Compact Cordless Machinery

Stihl are now proudly selling new ‘Compact Cordless Systems’ in a range which includes a Chainsaw, Leaf Blower, Grass Trimmer and Hedgetrimmer. All products are battery operated with a host of advantages, especially to the domestic customer.  Here are just a few:

What are the Advantages of Using Cordless Tools?

There are several advantages of using cordless tools.

  • Lightweight - the machine is battery operated and so doesn’t have a heavy petrol engine.
  • Low noise - the battery-operated engine means that all of the products can be used without ear defenders. Lower noise emissions gives the added bonus of being less of an annoyance to neighbours.
  • Low maintenance - all products can be easily maintained, needing only charging as required.
  • Zero emissions - the machine does not emit waste products that are harmful to the environment.

Angela Stokes, co-owner of  World of Power, said:

We were all very impressed with the new products from Stihl.  The biggest advantage was the low noise and maintenance, meaning it is much more accessible to the domestic user than its petrol engine counterparts."

“When compared to a petrol engine, the customer would have to have some basic knowledge to use a chainsaw because of the need to regularly mix the oils.  Quite simply, with the engines in this range, all you have to do is charge the battery when needed.  It’s that simple!
