1.
BRRRRRR
Those early morning starts are made a little more difficult with that chill in the air; it’s time to pull out those winter coats and those extra tog duvets to keep us warm. The dark mornings and nights will are slowly beginning to appear meaning all we want to do when we leave work is disappear into the abyss of our homes with our fires roaring!
2.
Conkers
Conkers are falling, the kids are collecting - this is when the games begin. Relive your childhood memories by joining in with your children’s conker games, surely you remember how to make you conker stronger with vinegar?!
3.
Golden Colours
With all the trees flaunting their beautiful colours, slowly turning from green to a fiery orange before turning as yellow as the sun before falling to the ground making a gorgeous path for my walk to work. This time of year really does reflect the beauty we have in the world.
4.
Leafblowers
The sound of that
Stihl leaf blower on a Sunday morning as your neighbour is trying to rid the leaves that have begun to fall from his sycamore tree. You lie in bed wishing you could hear the song of the early morning birds you so much took for granted just a few weeks back. You yearn for the early morning sun to come back to bring back the song of the summer.
5.
Dewy Mornings
Grab your camera as this time of year makes beautiful pictures. The cobwebs are dusted in dew in the early morning making a beautiful image. My favourite has to be a canvas of the autumn trees changing in colour at the moment from a hill top – nothing says beauty like natural beauty!
6.
Meaty Grub
No more salads, that luring smell of sausage casseroles and beef stew (with crusty bread of course) hits you as you arrive home from a busy day at the office. Of course this is one of the best things about the weather taking a turn, the diet goes out the window for the winter season with the excuses of layers becoming to appealing.
7.
Spooky Time
Halloween is amongst us and all the children are getting excited, nothing better than a cosy night in carving your pumpkins with a hot cup of hot chocolate in front of the fire. This time of year really does make you thankful for family time in the home playing games.
8.
Heating on
The heating has been turned on or the wood baskets have been filled (we should hope) to help us get through the cold winter. For those who are unorganised
World of Power have a full range of
petrol, electric and cordless chainsaws for the fastest and most cost effective way to get your wood shed stocked up ready for the brisk autumn nights. The Stihl wood moisture tester is an excellent way of ensuring wood has dried out for the perfect burning piece.
