Blades can become stuck together easily with tree sap, debris even after just one use.
It is highly recommended that you use a hedge trimmer spray before and after use.

Spray Stihl Superclean Resin Solvent onto the blades (front and back) and run for a couple of seconds to allow it to distribute before use and before storage.

It is important to note that blades being stuck together due to tree sap is not covered by the manufacturing warranty, so it is important to carry out general maintenance to ensure the longevity of your machine, even if you are only using it for a few minutes.
