What is the Stihl Smart Connector?
The Stihl Smart Connector is a small, electronic gadget that links to your Stihl tool and works with the Stihl app to provide users with detailed information of how you use your tool and helps show you useful information like servicing reminders & run-times allowing for better management and monitoring of the equipment’s condition and maintenance needs.
How do I install the Stihl Smart Connector?
The Stihl Smart Connector is very easy to install. Simply attach it to your tool and connect it to the Stihl app on your smart phone or tablet via Bluetooth. Most new STIHL tools will have a model-specific video in the app that shows how to do this but if there isn't a video, the Smart Connector needs to be put wherever the sensor can find an electrical current (instructions are also provided with the Smart Connector).
The Stihl app will guide you through the set up process by asking you to choose which product you want to link to by entering the model and serial number, however some of the newer STIHL products can be linked by reading the QR code on the device.
You can then immediately start to track your equipment’s data including operating hours, usage history, and maintenance schedules.
Is the Stihl Smart Connector Compatible with all Stihl Equipment?
Primarily it is designed to work with a range of Stihl tools but it’s not currently compatible with all models. You should check the compatibility of your specific equipment model with the Smart Connector to ensure that it will work correctly and provide accurate data and insights.

On the site, a dashboard shows a variety of information, such as work times, machine productivity, running time, the last position of a product, expected maintenance and repairs, and the status of tools.
